FAQs
Why are there different price points for your large size towels? Is there a difference in the quality?
Our towel prices are determined by the length of time they take to weave. Within the collection, our patterns range from simple classic patterns to extremely complicated patterns. All of our products are fairly traded and our artisans are paid fairly for their work. Therefore, the longer a pattern takes to weave, the higher the price point will be.
There is no difference in quality between price ranges, since our entire collection of towels & blankets are of the same amazing premium quality and are all woven from the identical luxurious organic Turkish cotton.

Why do some towels feel much softer than others if they are all woven from the same organic cotton?
Although the towels are all woven from the same organic cotton, some feel significantly softer than others.
Why? Because they are looser weaves. In general, the tighter the weave, the stiffer it feels to the touch (less fluffy). However, it is important to remind customers that ALL of our towels will soften up significantly after a few washes.
How do I know if I should choose a tight or loose weave?
If you will be using your towel primarily as a beach towel, we would recommend going with a tighter weave to avoid having sand get through. That being said, we have many customers who buy looser weaves for the beach and find that the minimal amount of sand that goes through is not bothersome. It really just comes down to a matter of preference.
Customers who are buying their towel to be used primarily as a throw, shawl or scarf tend to gravitated more towards the looser weaves due to the softer feeling and the beautifully complex patterns.

Will my towel shrink because it's cotton?
We highly recommend following our care instructions to avoid shrinkage. In short, yes, if you wash your towel in hot water or put it in the dryer on a high setting, it will absolutely shrink. This is why we recommend washing in cool or cold water using a natural laundry detergent, avoiding bleach and fabric softener, and hanging to dry whenever possible. Aside from taking care of your towel, following these instructions is also environmentally friendly!
